What is a Kamayan?
As tradition goes, a Kamayan is where a group gathers together on either side of a long table that has a banana leaf layer, topped with an assortment of traditional Filipino fare. A bed of rice topped with seafood, sticky pork, Filipino style beef fillets, salads, vegetables, the lot! The group then eat standing side by side ‘Kamayan’ style. Eating with your hands.
