Welcome to BollyX Bollywood Fitness workshop. Priya, your fitness instructor for the day, was born and raised in the “Bollywood city” of India – Mumbai, Bollywood dance runs in her veins. Enjoying the ‘thumkas and jhatkaas’ to bits, fitness is her priority and Dancing with BollyX brings her joy and energy. She loves sharing this with all her students to bring out the best version of themselves!
She has conducted Bollywood Cardio fitness sessions and Events for Australian and Global participants to shake a leg and enjoy their fitness in the form of Bollywood dancing. She has conducted various large-scale events of around 100 participants with Organisers like Hobsons Bay Council, Deakin University, West Melbourne Marathi to name a few both live and virtually.

1. Session structure: the BollyX workout begins with a warm up, followed by a dynamic stretch continued with low to medium pace bollywood dance songs, a lower body/upper body and a Cool down. We sometimes also include a short high intensity fun choreography to learn depending on the mood of the crowd. This structure is to make sure we regulate healthy pace of all participants. The songs would include exciting popular Bollywood numbers, folk style dancing like Bhangra, Garba, South indian to name a few and also fused with western number. The choreography is very easy to follow where we would guide them with each song steps.
2. Duration: it would be a 30-45minute session(depending on your preference). A 30-minute session usually has about 5 songs and 45-minutes, about 7 songs with enough time to stay hydrated.
3. Pricing: no cost involved as we are in this for wellness awareness only.
Things to know and bring:
Must wear Sports shoes
Get a face wipe/gym towel for hygiene purposes
Bottle of water to stay hydrated
Let the instructor know of any medical conditions prior to event commencement that could affect your health during workout.
