The African Youth Initiative (AYI) is a youth-led not-for-profit organisation that exists to overcome the barriers African youth face and empower them to realise their potential and contribute positively to society. AYI is proudly collaborating with Girl Chat, a social group for young women in Melton to deliver this South Sudanese Independence celebration.

This event will bring together the South Sudanese community from all over Victoria to celebrate 12 years of independence and our vibrant, wonderful South Sudanese culture. There will be guest performances from inspiring young poets, rappers and comedians as well as dances from different South Sudanese tribes.
