On Friday night, Port Melbourne Knights lost at home to Green Gully 3-1. Heidelberg lost away Oakleigh 5-1.Oakleigh won against Dandenong 2-1. On Saturday, Avondale won yet again this time against North Geelong 3-0.Bentleigh lost to Melbourne Knights 1-0. And on Sunday St. Albans surpassed Hume City 3-0. On Sunday, South Melbourne faced Dandenong Thunder. At half time South Melbourne was leading 2-1. However the floodlights had not been tuned on for the second half and the match was sensationally called off. On Tuesday night, the second half was played and the match was finally completed. South Melbourne had 2 players sent off and still held on to win the match 3-2.

The ladder has Avondale still on top, followed by South Melbourne with both teams on 46 points, then Oakleigh Cannons, Melbourne Knights, Port Melbourne and Green Gully making the top 6. Altona Magic are seventh, followed by Dandenong Thunder, Heidelberg United, Hume City, St. Albans, Moreland City, Bentleigh Greens and North Geelong on the bottom. 

For round 18 on Friday night. Melbourne Knights faces Port Melbourne. Heidelberg face old rivals South Melbourne. On Saturday North Geelong is at home to Avondale. Moreland City plays Altona Magic. Bentleigh Greens hosts Melbourne Knights. And on Sunday it’s St. Albans and Hume City and to finish the round, it’s South Melbourne and Dandenong Thunder.

For the NPLW, on Saturday, Calder United smashed Alamein 5-0. Bayside United defeated Boroondara 2-1. Box Hill edged past Southern United 3-2. South Melbourne beat FV Emerging 2-1. And on Monday Bulleen defeated Heidelberg 2-0.

For the NPLW ladder South Melbourne have now jumped to first place, followed by Bulleen Lions, Boroondara, Bayside United, Heidelberg and Calder make the top 6. Then we have Box Hill, Alamein, Preston Lions, FV Emerging and Southern United on the bottom. 

For the upcoming NPLW games for round 14. On Friday it’s FV Emerging and Bulleen. On Saturday, Calder hosts Preston. Heidelberg takes on Bayside United. Southern United encounters Alamein. And to finish Boroondara hosts box hill united.
