On Friday night, Avondale drew away to Melbourne Knights 1-1. Bentleigh Greens had a much needed win away against St. Albans 2-0. And Green Gully defeated North Geelong 3-1. On Saturday, Port Melbourne won at home 1-0 against Heidelberg. Hume City squeaked past Moreland City 3-2. Dandenong Thunder lost at home 3-0 to Altona Magic. And on Sunday, South Melbourne lost to old rivals Oakleigh Cannons 2-0.
The ladder has Avondale on top, followed by South Melbourne, Oakleigh Cannons, Melbourne Knights, Port Melbourne and Green Gully making the top 6. Altona Magic are seventh, followed by Dandenong Thunder, Hume City, Heidelberg United, St. Albans, and Bentleigh Greens, North Geelong and Moreland City are now on the bottom.
For round 21 on Friday night. St. Albans hosts Port Melbourne. On Saturday Avondale faces Dandenong Thunder.Moreland City plays Green Gully. Bentleigh Greens encounters Oakleigh Cannons. Altona Magic is at home to Heidelberg. On Sunday Melbourne Knights is on the road to North Geelong, and to finish it’s South Melbourne versus Hume City.
For the NPLW, on Monday night, Bulleen and South Melbourne drew 1-1. On Friday, Borrondara smashed Preston 5-2. Box Hill won away convincingly 4-1 against FV Emerging. On Saturday South Melbourne also won away 4-0 against Bayside United. And finally, Calder defeated Southern United on the road 2-1.
For the NPLW ladder Boroondara have now jumped to first place, followed by, South Melbourne, Bulleen, Bayside United, Calder and Box Hill make the top 6. Then we have Heidelberg, Alamein, Preston Lions, FV Emerging and Southern United on the bottom.
For the upcoming NPLW games for round 17. On Friday it’s Box Hill versus South Melbourne. And FV Emerging against Alamein. On Saturday, Calder United host Boroondara Eagles. Bulleen encounters Bayside United. And to finish on Sunday, Preston faces Heidelberg.
