On Friday night Melbourne Knights defeated Altona Magic 3-1 at home. And Heidelberg United also won at home 3-1 Bentleigh Greens. On Saturday newcomers Moreland City beat North Geelong 4-1 at home. Avondale defeated Green Gully 3-2. It was a goal fest between Dandenong Thunder and Port Melbourne, where Port Melbourne won away 6-2. Oakleigh surpassed Hume City 2-1. And on Sunday, St. Albans lost at home to South Melbourne 1-0.
The ladder has Avondale on top, followed by South Melbourne, Oakleigh Cannons, Melbourne Knights, Green Gullyand Port Melbourne to finish the top 6. Moreland jump to seventh, followed by St. Albans, Dandenong Thunder, Heidelberg United, Hume City, Altona Magic, North Geelong and Bentleigh Greens make up the rest.
For round 7, on Friday night Bentleigh Greens hosts St. Albans. And Heidelberg United take on Port Melbourne. On Saturday, North Geelong hosts Green Gully. Hume City plays away to Moreland City. Avondale play Melbourne Knights at home. Altona Magic takes on Dandenong Thunder and to finish off the round, Oakleigh Cannons hosts South Melbourne.
For the NPLW, on Friday, Box Hill defeated Southern United 3-nil at home. On Saturday South Melbourne thrashed Senior NTC on the road 6-1. Calder United lost heavily at home to Alamein 4-2. Heidelberg United and Bulleen drew 1 all, and on Sunday, Boroondara defeated Bayside 2-1.
For the NPLW ladder South Melbourne move on top, followed by Box Hill, Alamein, Boroondara, Bayside and Bulleen make the top 6. Then we have Heidelberg, Preston, Calder United, Senior NTC and Southern United.
For the upcoming NPLW games for round 3. On Friday it’s Box Hill versus Boroondara. Then it’s Preston against Calder United. On Saturday Alamein hosts Southern United. Bayside United faces Heidelberg United. And to finish, Bulleen plays Senior NTC
