Women's World show

womens-world.jpg

Women’s World which was officially launched on the airwaves on 2 Nov. 2006, is a unique program in that it is presented in English, live in studio, every Thursday, from 1.00 to 2.00 pm. The presenters are all women from diverse ethnic backgrounds who work together, in teams of 2 or 3, to produce and present the program. Most were already broadcasters in their own language group before forming this new team.

Women’s World has become a popular radio show for women from a wide range of ethnic and non-ethnic communities in Melbourne and is 3ZZZ's "Showcase Program" for English speaking guests.

The teams of presenters on Women’s World bring a wealth of personal life experiences and interests to the weekly broadcasts where they are able to share their migration experiences, anecdotes about family celebrations and parenting, cooking tips etc. Topics range from medical issues - health, well-being and life-style, to cultural interests such as film and book reviews, festivals, exhibitions, musical events, as well as multicultural and community activities around Melbourne that foster and enhance cross-cultural understanding.
